Description

Corkscrew Vallisneria is beginner-friendly, easy to grow and relatively undemanding. I does not require injected Co2 or high lighting/nutrients, which makes it great for low-tech setups. However, like most aquatic plants, this Val does require good lighting. When provided with this it will grow very quickly, constantly sending out runners. You can leave these baby plants to grow out or cut and remove them from the main plant if you'd like to replant, remove or sell them.

For a healthy corkscrew Vallisneria, plant it directly into the substrate, around 2cm deep. In small setups like shrimp tanks this plant works best in the background or at the sides of the tank. Root tabs help it grow faster, however are unrequited. Once the plant is established, it will quickly start to send out runners and baby plants! You can trim the leaves back with scissors they get too long, or prune yellowing leaves.
