Description
Great for breaking down waste in aquariums and also as a natural food source for fish, especially puffer fish. Shrimp-like crustaceans that grow up to 1cm in length. These tiny critters are detritivores in the wild, feeding on decaying plant / animal matter for the most part. It is an easy to culture live food that is an excellent size for most tropical fish, anything from tetras, guppies and cichlids all love scuds.
It has the advantage of surviving freshwater aquarium conditions indefinitely so that it can be fed in abundance without fear of water fouling. Hobbyists can 'seed' their tanks with scuds to provide an endless natural food supply, if given enough hiding spaces.
This species survives happily in aquarium quality water. It can tolerate temperatures as low as 0°C and high as 35°C but prefers temperatures ranging from 20-30°C, pH is not important.

We ship from Mondays to Wednesdays (all orders from Monday to noon of Wednesday will be ship out in the same week and any orders made after noon of Wednesday will be processed next Monday).

Any other dry goods, bonsai, plants, and accessories will be sent via standard post. Usually, you will receive the items within 3-7 business day after order is fulfilled.
