Description
Vallisneria is an amazing plant. It is one of those plants you must get as a beginner as it will grow crazy in a darted tank. However, it also does great in a tank without dirt. I have seen it in low light tanks with low nutrients in the substrate. Vallisneria can absorb pollutants such as ammonia and use it as a source of nitrogen. Ammonia is a byproduct of fish waste that becomes deadly in high concentrations.
