Description

Ludwigia sp. Mini 'Super Red' is a popular species that develops an intensive, red colour under medium to hight light without CO2 injection requirements.

Ludwigia Super Red requires good lighting to grow well, but otherwise is undemanding. This plant looks similar to Ludwigia "Rubin", but has smaller leaves. Like with most other aquarium plants, Ludwigia Super Red will do best with rich nutrient substrate, high lighting and CO2 injection. Like many other stem plants you cut the top half of this Ludwigia's main stem and plant it to propagate.

Goldfish cannot kill this.

My goldfish pull almost every plant out of the tank, especially grass, but not Super Red! Puts out roots within weeks, a month later I've removed all the stones holding the plant down and they're (almost) goldfish proof
