Description 

Chestnut Mystery Snails have white bodies with iridescent markings, and their shells are striped with different shades of brown, making them striking and elegant addition to any aquarium. Mystery Snails are generally much more active and display more playful behavior than other types of freshwater snails.They love to eat algae, and can grow up to 5cm in diameter, with a minimum tank requirement of 15 litres.

Mystery snails are extremely active eaters, which makes them so excellent at removing aquarium waste. They are harmless to live plants as long as enough food is available for them; they will munch on plants if hungry enough. Other than algae and biofilm, they also eat fish/invertebrate pellets, algae wafers, and blanched vegetables such as zucchini, carrots, or cucumber.

• Notes: Snails are very sensitive to copper, so please keep it at a minimum. They also need sufficient calcium in their water to maintain shell health, which can be helped with greens, by floating a cuttle bone in the water, or by using calcium additives.
