Description
Narrow or Needle Leaf Java Fern (Microsorum pteropus “Narrow”) is a very attractive, popular, and low-maintenance plant for the freshwater aquarium. Its long, bright green leaves provide an attractive aquascape as well as important refuge and grazing area for shrimp and fish as well as fry.
The plant can be attached directly onto driftwood, rocks or other aquarium decoration using line or glue. Please keep the rhizomes (where the leaves are attached to) above the substrate or the plant may start to rot. Propagation of java fern is easy and straightforward; simply cut or pull apart rhizomes to be replanted.
