2-3 baby plants (around 3cm in diameter).
Antler fern provides shelter for the aquarium inhabitants and is well accepted by labyrinth fishes for their foam nests.
Ceratopteris pteridoides, being a floating aquarium plant, requires good lighting to thrive. The ideal temperature is between 18 and 30 degrees Celsius. It is a great plant that will absorb nitrates and excess nutrients in the water column.
This fern may grow fairly huge in a short amount of time if conditions are favorable. If the leaf rosettes have grown too large for the tank, they can be replaced with any of the many new plantlets that grow on old, detached leaves.
Lighting: Moderate to high
Growth Rate: Fast
Placement: Floats on top of water surface
The Antler Fern is often used as a floating plant, but it can also be planted in the substrate or attached to driftwood or rocks.
It is an excellent choice for providing hiding places for fry and small fish.
The plant's leaves can change shape and texture depending on the environment and growth stage.
Provide moderate to high lighting for optimal growth and leaf development.
Maintain stable water parameters with a temperature range of 68-82°F (20-28°C) and a pH range of 6.0-7.5.
Supplement with nutrient-rich fertilizers to promote healthy growth and vibrant green coloration.
