Vietnamese Mint

Each portion will include 5-6 stems of Vietnamese mint.

Vietnamese mint, also called Persicaria odorata and rau răm, is an unusually flavorful herb used in cookery and a really good plant for pond enthusiasts. This plant has fast growth, vibrant green leaves, and it looks great; hence, it can be perfectly added to pond environments not only for its beauty but also for functionality.

Why Choose Vietnamese Mint for Your Pond?
Aquatic-Friendly: Since Vietnamese mint could thrive in waterlogged, moist areas, it can be considered an aquatic plant. They are good aquatic flowers to adorn the edges of ponds or shallow waters, giving your water feature that much-needed touch of naturalism and lushness with a soothing ambiance.

Natural Filtration: The plant will help filter the water by absorbing the excess nutrients which could otherwise feed algae growth in your pond. In this light, healthier water will keep the pond environment cleaner and clearer.
Aesthetically Pleasing Foliage: Narrow, lance-shaped green leaves will beautify any pool. The trailing growth habit forms soft cascades that complement other aquatic plant life.

Wildlife Habitats: Vietnamese mint provides shade and shelter for small pond life, encouraging different life and action within the pool. Its cover is a place of refuge where fish and other inhabitants may flee for protection.
Low Maintenance: It is a fast-growing herb that requires easy care. It adapts to variations in pond conditions and demands little effort in maintaining a lush appearance .
How to Plant and Care for Vietnamese Mint
Ideal Location: The plant prefers moist, humid conditions; hence, being close to the pond edges or shallow water supports its ideal location.
Sunlight: It does well in full sun to partial shade. In hot climates, partial shade is preferred.
Care: Prune quite regularly, as it has a tendency to get overgrown. Vietnamese mint is a rhizome, which often travels far from its source and crowds out other plants in your pond.
